Paul Christopher Dettor's Obituary
Paul C. Dettor, 49 of Annapolis, Maryland. On August 1, 2016 the Lord received home one of His most cherished servants. To say Paul was a “great man” does not do justice to the true greatness that he was. Paul was first and foremost the most devoted father to his son PJ and daughter Morgan this world has known. He and his wife Julie shared a bond and love that you read in fairy tales; soul mates in the truest sense. His love for Julie, PJ and Morgan was limitless and endless. Family was his purpose in life; there is nothing he would not do or provide for his family. His Mother, Jacqueline and Father, Robert gave him his foundation of love, truth, respect and a complete zest and love for life. They were his rock and set him in life with abounding love and strength that there was nothing he could not do! There are no words for the depth of love he had for his parents. His first loves in life were his sisters, Shellie and Jamie. Oh the stories…there are no words worthy of his feelings…other than love.
Paul’s second purpose in life was others…always others! Everyone and everything always came before himself; whether it was the countless children he coached, his friends, his clients, his neighbors even strangers, he was always there with a smile and helping hand.
All fortunate enough to have met and known Paul (Daddy, Dad, Uncle Paul, Coach Paul, Coach, Paulie Boy, PD, Paulie, Peeb, Dextor, JA, Brother, Sack Man, Noisy, Love, Honey, Friend) know the blessing he was.
Paul is survived by his wife, Julie, son PJ and daughter Morgan, Mother Jacqueline Dettor, Father Robert Dettor, Sister Shellie Ljungquist (William, nephews Colin and Ryan), Sister Jamie Nardini (John, nieces Sophia, Amelia and Isabel), Brother in law, Dan Evans (Jody, nephews Ryan and Conor), In-laws Jerome Evans, Anne Evans and Victoria Evans.
