Paul Allen Crowther's Obituary
Paul Allen Crowther, age 60, passed away at his home on May 3, 2015 of an atherosclerotic cardiovascular event. Paul was born on July 12, 1954 in Ogden, Utah to Kenneth and Barbara Crowther. He was 5 years old when the family moved to Severna Park, MD. He attended Severna Park Elementary, Junior and Senior High schools. After graduating from Severna Park High School, he attended Baltimore City Community College and Anne Arundel Community College, from which he graduated with an A.A. degree in data processing.
He spent his professional career working with computers. In his occupation as a computer programmer, he had many varied work experiences. He was employed by the Virginia Beach Police Department, USF&G Insurance in Baltimore, and the Administrative Office of the Courts in Annapolis. At the time of his death, he was employed by the Department of the Treasury as an IT Specialist.
He was preceded in death by his father, who passed away in 1996. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Crowther of Severna Park, his sisters Christy Radulewicz (William) of Millersville, Karen Harper (Robert) of Arnold, and Allison McDade (William) of Crofton. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews: Kristen Harper of Provo, Utah; Ryan, Kaitlin, and Kristy Harper of Rexburg, Idaho; and Ian and Russell McDade of Crofton, MD.
He enjoyed playing racquetball until a knee injury sidelined him several years ago. He enjoyed traveling. Paul was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Redskins, and the Maryland Renaissance Festival, science fiction films, and J.R.R. Tolkien. His hobbies included sailing, boating, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with his family (especially with his dogs, Shadow and Tony).
Funeral arrangement are being coordinated though Lasting Tributes of Annapolis, MD. Funeral services will be held on May 9, 2015 at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1875 Ritchie Highway, Annapolis, MD. Burial will follow at Bestgate Memorial Park.
