Patricia Marcheskie's Obituary
Patricia "Pat" Marcheskie (née Daywalt), age 83, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida.
Born on July 20, 1941, in Annapolis, Maryland, Pat was the daughter of Robert J. Daywalt Sr. and Irma Dunbar Daywalt. She grew up in a large and close-knit family in Annapolis, where she graduated from Annapolis High School in 1959. Her strong family ties shaped a life centered around home, children, parents, and siblings, nieces and nephews, and unwavering love and support for all those she held dear.
During her working years, Pat was employed by several organizations that are or were major parts of the social and economic fabric of Annapolis including Farmer’s National Bank and the United States Naval Institute. She was a lifelong resident of Annapolis until her move to Florida in 2015 to be closer to her sons.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Gordon J. Marcheskie of Miami, FL, and Joseph D. Marcheskie of Jacksonville, FL, her sisters JoAnn Daywalt Kinsey of Annapolis, MD, and Janet Daywalt Sanders of Thomasville, NC, as well as many extended family members who were touched by her kindness and warmth. She was also a close and loving godmother of Jennifer Kinsey Barbour and Karen Kinsey Otrosina.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Irma, and her brother, Robert J. Daywalt Jr. (Jerry), as well as other beloved members of the Daywalt and Dunbar families of the Annapolis area.
Known for her giving spirit and devotion to those around her, Pat lived for her children, siblings, and the extended family that always surrounded her. She found joy in simple pleasures—gardening under the sun, crafting beautiful cakes for special occasions, and preserving cherished memories through meticulously assembled photo albums.
May Patricia’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
