Patricia Joyce Bruce's Obituary
Patricia Joyce Greer Bruce, 84, of Annapolis, MD passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2023.
Patricia was born on August 24, 1938, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Walter Lovelace Greer and Myrtle Mabel Cooper. She graduated from Simon Gratz High School.
Patricia retired from the Maryland General Assembly after more than 34 years of service. During that time, she supported the Prince Georges County and Baltimore City Delegations. Prior to moving from Gales Ferry, CT to Annapolis in 1987, Patricia worked for the US Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. She was an avid genealogist and took great pride in her membership and contributions to the many historical societies in which she actively participated, most notably the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph M. Bruce, who passed in 2018. Patricia is survived by her children; Michael (Karen) Nestor of Lincolnton, NC, Walter (Nancy) Tomkiel of Doylestown, PA, Joseph (Sandra) Nestor of Fairfax, VA, and Kathleen (Robert) Owens of Augusta, GA.
She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren; Sean (Johanna) Nestor, Kellyn Nestor, Lindsey Nestor, Dante Tomkiel, Sarah Nestor, and Kate Nestor, plus 4 great grandchildren; Chase, Aria, Riley, and Danielle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7 from 12-2pm at Lasting Tributes, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis. Patricia will be buried with her late husband at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
