Nelson A. Smith's Obituary
Nelson A. Smith, a retired Postal worker, died on Thursday March 15 at his daughter’s residence. He was 74 years old.
Mr. Smith was a Postal worker and former Washington Redskin band member. He was a life long mentor to children of all ages and dedicated care giver to all who asked for help.
Mr. Smith is husband of the late Geraldine Smith; devoted father of Brian Smith (Michelle), Denise McGinniss (Kevin), the late Gary Smith and the late Stephen Smith; Grandfather of Kimberly Stewart, Heather Douglass, Amy McGinniss, Catherine Smith, and Mark McGinniss; Great Grandfather of William and Alaina Douglass, Brooks, Wyatt and Dakota Stewart.
Friends may call at Lasting Tributes Cremation & Funeral Care, 814 Bestgate Road Annapolis MD. 21041 on Sunday March 18, 2012 from 7-9 PM. A funeral will be held Monday March 19, 2012 at 9:00 AM at Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church 6405 S. Orchard Road, Linthicum, MD 21090. Burial will follow at Washington National Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
