Nancy Bossert McNew's Obituary
Nancy Bossert McNew, a born and raised Annapolitan, died on July 13, 2012 with her family at her side. She was 75.
Nancy was born on January 8, 1937 to the late John Bossert and Elinor Clark Bossert. After graduating from Annapolis High School, Nancy worked for the state of Maryland and later became a full time homemaker. On July 24, 1959, she married the late Theodore “Ted” Rawlings McNew.
Nancy enjoyed time at Ocean City, MD, watching movies and spending time with the late “Yazzie” – her Labrador retriever.
Nancy is survived by two children, Todd McNew of Harrisburg, PA and Kimberley Greenly of Grasonville, MD; one granddaughter, Sheri Poet of Grasonville, MD; a sister, Joan Chehreh of Millersville, MD; and a brother John “Jack” Bossert, Jr. of Stevensville, MD. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lori Poet.
A visitation will be held between 10AM and 11AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Lasting Tributes Cremation & Funeral Care, P.A. 814 Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD. A funeral service will begin at 11AM. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake 445 Defense Highway Annapolis, MD 21401.
