Mildred Elizabeth Thomas' Obituary
Mildred Elizabeth Thomas, 82, was born on May 18, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Richard Neal and Lillian Green Cole. After enduring a lengthy illness, Mildred departed this life on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at South River Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mildred, affectionately known as “Puddin” and to family as “Millie” received her education through Anne Arundel County Public School System. Over the past years Puddin was employed by Barbara Rodgers, Audrey Dowey, and Carolyn Pike until retirement. Puddin was known as a mother, caregiver, comforter, advisor, and provided a hot meal and gave a comforting word when need to lift anyone’s spirit. Puddin’s strong family ties would always turn a bad time into good. Puddin would enjoy being with her daughters but her sons would put the biggest smile on her face and gave her lots of joy.
She leaves to cherish her memory 3 daughters: Cynthia R. Wren, Amanda L. Hunt (J.R.), and Patsy A. Thomas (Keys; adopted daughter, Roxanne Turner; adopted son, David Pickford; sisters: Gertrude Johnson, Janice Seay, and Roxanne Martin; grandchildren: Angela Turner (Lloyd) of Loganville, GA, Warren Ashby, Jr. (Shatoya), Nicole Ashby (Trumaine), and Jason Hunt (Brenda); great-grandchildren: Trey and Arrington Turner, Mackenzie and McKenna Hunt, and Renice Ashby; 2 aunts: Doris Diggs and Lucille Blake; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her sons: Richard Ashby, Jr., and Warren Ashby and grandsons: Ronald Wren and Jonathan Hunt.
