Michael R. Young's Obituary
Michael Robert Young of Annapolis, MD passed away on December 25, 2017. He was 70.
Michael was born in New Bedford, Mass. to Ruth Chace and Howard Whitefield Young. He attended Washington College in Chestertown, MD and later received a law degree from Boston University School of Law.
On June 15, 1968, he married Sandra Pires and made their home together in Chestertown, MD. They later returned to Massachusetts and in 2004 moved to Annapolis to be closer to their children.
Michael’s career in the wine and spirit industry spanned 39 years, retiring in 2011 as NE Division Sales Manager with the Bronco Wine Company.
In addition to his wife Sandra, he is survived by two children, Sarah (Christopher) Wolf and Joshua Young; two grandchildren, Robert Wolf and Nathaniel Wolf; an aunt, Joyce Passos; and a sister, Martina Ockerman.
A visitation will be held at Lasting Tributes 814 Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD on Friday, December 29th from 5pm to 7pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 30th at 11 am with burial following at Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
