Michael Raymond's Obituary
Michael Gregory Raymond of Crownsville, Maryland passed away surrounded by family on January 2, 2024. He was 75 years old.
He was born in Augusta, Maine on October 1, 1948, to Roland Raymond and Blanche Bilodeau Raymond. He spent his childhood loving his time in nature, playing sports, and partaking in his fair share of mischief with his siblings. After graduating from Suitland High School, Michael enlisted in the US Army prior to the draft for the Vietnam War, and proudly served both overseas and back home. After his time in the service, he began a great career in federal information technology consulting. He married the love of his life, Heather Fry Raymond, in 1986.
Michael became a fixture at the Computer Sciences Corporation, where he excelled in large scale program management, and eventually took on the Executive Vice President role. He excelled in his work by making genuine human connections with his colleagues, customers, and even his competitors. In 2006 he joined the team at the 2020 Company as an Executive, where he cemented life-long friendships and achieved huge career successes. He spent time with Octo Consulting and DynaNet before retiring in 2021. Michael took immense pride in the work that he did and the relationships he nurtured over his career. He will be remembered as someone who could always provide a laugh or some meaningful guidance, but usually both at the same time.
Michael is survived by his wife, Heather Raymond; his daughter, Melissa Raymond; his son-in-law, Richard Chrisman; his three grandsons, Isaiah, August, and Bennett; his sisters Elizabeth and Ann Raymond, and his brother Anthony Raymond. He is preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Elizabeth Ann Raymond.
A Memorial gathering in his honor is being held on Sunday, January 14th, 2024 at Lasting Tributes in Annapolis, Maryland from 10 AM to 1 PM.
