I am saddened by learning of Michael's passing.
I don't know if anyone gets updates 10 years late.
We were friends many years ago. Actually we dated when he was probably 19. I rode with him on his motorcycle, visited his brother and family in Monroe, CT. Mostly we danced disco together. What an amazing dancer. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, who must be a wonderful person; and his children; and siblings Frank, Jr., Paul, and Judi; as well as his Mom if she is still here on Earth.
I enjoyed Michael's terrific warm embracing smiling eyes.
Again, so sorry for your loss of Michael...way too young!

Mike, Kevin, and I went to High school together. We were in the Boy Scouts, and spent a lot of time in the woods together. Mike was my Best Man 37 years ago. Although we lost touch over the years, Mike has often been on my mind.

I have visited this site so many times and I wanted so much to leave a message, but I couldn't. This still breaks my heart, but . There are three men in my world who have have affected me so profoundly that I am indebted to them for who I am and for much of the goodness that has come into in my life: my father, my husband and Michael. My father passed in August 2009. Only one month before Michael, my own husband met his own untimely and unexpected death. The grief over my husband has been unspeakable. And, although I do have wonderful friends, there is no Michael to give me that pep talk and help me rewrite my life's business case and strategy (as he had done after other crises in my life). As the messy estate stuff winds down, crossing the one year threshold has had an almost magical significance in my healing process. And while there will always be a hole in our hearts for our loved ones lost, I pray that Michael's family has found (or will soon find) that magical healing.

I was not sure at first if this was the same Michael Pusateri I worked with during college at Avis. I worked in the Long Island office in NY and Michael worked in Norwalk, Ct. I am now working for a company in Ct and looked up his info on the computer only to realize he had passed. I felt the need to share in saying he was a sincere intelligent person who loved life! His family was so inviting and warm especially his mom Helen, she was one of the nicest person I ever met! In reading all of these stories and memories friends and family had of Mike it doesnt surprise me. I am sure he was a great husband and he definately was a great son. My condolences go out to the entire family....rest in peace...

Dear Kate - It is our fondest hope that your pain is eased by the outpouring of love for you and Mike. Clearly that love is shared on so many levels from the Thursday Celebration for Mike, through the support given, by the breadth of memories shared in the attached writings, to the depth of kind feelings conveyed by so many friends.
While I was Mike's start-up client, our faith in him was only a small part among the many he touched with his wonderful humor, energy, creative abilities and generous friendship.
Know that there is little more one could want during our brief stay here than to have a full life - and Mike's was the most extraordinarily full.

Shocked to learn of Mike's passing. He had many gifts not the least of which was the ability to find humor in any situation. He was always quick to smile and there was the constant twinkle in his eye. He was devoted to his friends and kind to strangers. We hardly knew him when he hosted us to a 'vegetarian' pasta dinner at his home in Memphis ... and from then on we were hooked.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. We'll miss you, Mike!

My sincerest condolences to all of Mike's family. Like you, we are all trying to understand and accept the loss of such a wonderful person who loved, laughed and lived in such a big way. It was both cathartic and comforting to share the celebration of Mike's wonderful life with others this past week. It was truly a Mike-style event and he was surely watching over us and enjoying the energy and love that was in the room. He would have wanted it no other way.

I was lucky enough to be a part of Mike's sales team while at Marriott, where he blazed a trail like no other. Those were my greatest days at Marriott and Mike pushed us to be the best and to always think outside the proverbial box. There were so many great stories from those days that I will always cherish. I will always remember him telling us that the "internet" was the new big thing and it was going to change our lives; we laughed......he was right. Mike always had a way of looking into the future and seeing things most of us couldn't yet see.

More than anything he was a loving friend and mentor. He truly cared about each of us, and was genuinely interested in our lives, what made us tick and what we wanted to do. As much of an idea guy that Mike was, he equally encouraged that in all of us. If only I could have been one tenth the big thinker he was!

Although I had not seen Mike in a few years, reliving the wonderful memories we all shared with Mike has brought him close to my heart again, where he will remain every day of my life and where I will always smile when I think him.

May you find comfort in knowing how much he was loved and may his sly smile, hardy laughter and true passion stay in your hearts and keep him with you always.
