Michael Joseph McGrory's Obituary
Michael J. McGrory, 74, of Crownsville, Maryland, passed away suddenly on October 20, 2025. Born in Washington, D.C. on April 3, 1951, he was the son of the late Alice and Joseph McGrory.
Michael proudly served in the United States Navy before becoming the founder and owner of Annapolis Hydraulics. Through hard work and dedication, he built a respected business and a legacy of integrity, loyalty, and generosity. He was not only a skilled businessman but also a mentor and friend to many.
Michael lived life with joy and passion. He loved fishing, hunting, and Maryland blue crabs, and he never missed a chance to enjoy time outdoors. He was known for his booming laughter, love of dancing, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. To know Michael was to experience his big heart and unforgettable spirit.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Joseph McGrory. Michael is survived by the love of his life for 41 years, Diana Karns, and his sister, Cindy McGrory of Fairfax, Virginia. He is also lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, and countless lifelong friends whom he considered family.
Plans are in progress for a celebration of Michael’s wonderful life, and details will be shared with family and friends once finalized.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
