Michael Brian Fitzsimons' Obituary
Michael Brian Fitzsimons, 80, passed away in Annapolis, MD, on March 26, 2024. Michael was born in Utica, NY, on April 2, 1943. He was the son of the late Paul Fitzsimons and Carol Morse Fitzsimons.
The eldest of eleven siblings, Michael grew up in the Utica area. He graduated from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, with a degree in Business Management in 1964. He was a Certified Public Accountant in New York and Colorado for over forty years. After college, Michael served in the army and was stationed overseas in Germany. He then worked for Price Waterhouse in New York City and later for Corning Glassworks in Corning, NY. Michael was married to his former wife, Linda, for almost 25 years, with whom he had two daughters. In 1983, he moved his family to Boulder, CO, where he continued to enjoy a long career as an operations and finance executive. Upon his retirement in 2005, he relocated back to the East Coast to spend more time with close family, residing in Vernon, CT, and most recently in Annapolis, MD. Every summer, Michael enjoyed a family tradition of vacationing on Fourth Lake in Old Forge, NY.
He is survived by his two daughters and their spouses, Heather (Douglas Josberger) of Annapolis, MD, and Amanda (Douglas McKenney) of Arvada, CO; his grandson, Lucas Josberger; his ten siblings and their spouses, Mary Ellene (James) Durkin, Gerald (Susan), Kathleen (Christine Dawson), Dennis (Christine), Colin (Joanne), Rorie (Dina), Sharon (Christopher) Kelly, Paul (Janet), Jeffery (Deborah), and Brendan (Stephanie); along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
A viewing for the family will be held at Lasting Tributes Cremation and Funeral Care in Annapolis, MD on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 10 A.M.
