McArthur "Mac" Johnson's Obituary
McArthur Johnson, affectionately known as “Mac” and “Big Mac,” passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, after a brief illness at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. He was 80 years old.
Born on May 7, 1944, in Edgewater, MD, Mac was the beloved son of the late Mary and George (Leon) Johnson. He was educated in the Anne Arundel County school system and attended Wiley H. Bates High School in Annapolis, MD.

Beyond his work, Mac found joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid card player, often joining “the fellas” at The Morris H. Blum Senior Apartments for friendly games. He also cherished time spent fishing with his family and friends. A man of generosity, Mac gave back to his community by volunteering at The Morris H. Blum Senior Apartments, where he played music for residents during various events.
