Mary Ida Turner's Obituary
On Wednesday, March 11, 2026 God with his infinite wisdom saw it fit to call Mary Ida Turner home to rest.
Her childhood was spent in Southern Anne Arundel County. Later she resided in Annapolis, Maryland.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Calvin Forrester and Mary Virginia Forrester-Barnett. Also, her Step-Father George Barnett, siblings: Robert Forrester, Calvin Forrester, Milton Forrester, Rosetta Forrester, George Forrester, Annie Gray and her Step-Grandson Robert Rondell Turner, III. Step-Great Granddaughter Amoir Turner Nephews: Lionel Harrod and Theodore Gray Jr.
Mary was educated in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She was employed at Busch’s Chesapeake Inn, Riordan’s Saloon and the Annapolis Nursing Home Rehabilitation Center. Mary loved to cook, garden, crossword puzzles and she enjoyed her family and friends. Mary loved to watch soap operas, game shows and the Lifetime Channel. Mary called her family every day to talk. She often called her friends to chat.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories of 34 years with her husband, Robert Montgomery Turner, Sr., Step-Son Robert Rondell Turner, Jr.; Step-Daughter Keila Rickett, (6) Step-Grandchildren; (16) Step-Great Grandchildren; Sister Carrie Allen (Darryl); A devoted and loving Niece Izetta Harris (Annapolis MD), Goddaughter Danisha Goods (Dorchester, MD) Nieces and Nephews: Shirley Stepney (John-Glen Burnie, MD); Rosalie Harris, (Dorchester, MD); Sandra Gray, (Glen Burnie, MD); Mary Savoy (William-Annapolis, MD); Shawanda Smith-Gray (Annapolis, MD); Thomas Gray (Waldorf, MD); Great Nieces (9); Great Nephews (6); Great-Great Nieces (17); Great-Great Nephews (13); Great-Great; Great Nephews (2); Great-Great-Great Niece (1).
A host of cousins and friends, and three special devoted friends: Deborah Starks (William), Erick Matthew Beavers, Sr. and Jim Dominelli. They will ever cherish Mary in their hearts.
