Mary C. Parker's Obituary
Mary C. (Belt) Parker daughter of the late Thomas Belt and Alice Alberta Gambrill was born on April 7, 1921. Mary departed this life on Saturday May 14, 2011 at 11:53pm at her home in Glen Burnie, MD. GOD sent an angel to gently take her away from labor to reward.
Mary loved to sing and enjoy her family. She had a warm, loving heart that made everyone feel welcome in her home. Mary worked as a domestic worker. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all.
Mary was educated in Anne Arundel County Public Schools and received early religious training at home. She was baptized at Pillar of Truth in 1992. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late William Henry Parker on June 16, 1940. From this union they were blessed with seven children.
She leaves to mourn, her three sons, William Lee parker, Joseph Tyrone Parker Sr., Jerry Darnell Parker, Sr.; four daughters, Lula Bell Townes, Mary L. Harvin, Darlene Parker and Nancy A. Pulley; five brothers, Leon, Charles, August, Robert, Wesley, Irving Gambrill; five sisters, Agnes Nichols, Susan Gambrill, Alice Galloway, Virginia Matthews and Francis Gambrill; ones son-in-law; three daughter in laws; two sister in laws; 38 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews ; and many other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Metropolitan United Methodist Church 548 Queenstown Rd. Severn, MD. A visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral services at the church and on Thursday between 6pm and 8pm at Lasting Tributes Cremation and Funeral Care, P.A. 814 Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD.
