Marcia Ann Henry's Obituary
Marcia Ann Frazee Henry July 19, 1935 – April 21, 2026
Marcia Ann Frazee Henry, age 90, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her sons and family, on April 21, 2026.
Born on July 19, 1935, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Marcia was a woman of quiet strength, boundless love, and a beautiful smile that could light up any room. She carried herself with grace and warmth, and those who knew her never forgot her. She was the beloved daughter of Orion John Frazee and Della Marie Stafford, who instilled in her the values of love, family, and grace that she carried throughout her entire life.
On November 15, 1962, she married the love of her life, Marcel Augustine "Joe" Henry, in Kingston, Jamaica — the city that would become the first chapter of their life together. From Jamaica, the family embarked on a journey that would take them to Lebanon, Missouri, before finally settling in Crofton, Maryland, where Marcia and Joe put down roots and made their home for the past 41 years. Crofton was where she truly bloomed — where she built her life, raised her family, and became the heart of a community and a home that will forever carry her spirit.
What their marriage represented was 65 years of a love story lived out loud — not in grand gestures, but in the everyday example they set for their family. They showed their sons what love looks like, what commitment looks like, and what it means to build something truly lasting together.
Marcia was, above all, the glue. The heart of the home. The constant. She was the kind of mother who would do anything for you — who always saw the best in everyone and everything — and whose presence made the world feel steady and safe. Her sons never had to wonder if she was in their corner. She always was.
She is survived by her five sons: Sean & Erin Henry (San Ramon, CA), Jeff & Angelique Henry (Fort Lauderdale, FL), Jody & Laura Henry (Davidson, NC), Jason & Briana Henry (Crownsville, MD), and Paul Henry & Jada Kegan (Crofton, MD), whom she raised and cherished as her own. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Cheryl Burdette — known fondly and forever as "Pearlie" — of Lenexa, KS, and her cherished niece, Evin Wood, and her husband Mike Wood. She is further survived by 7 grandchildren — Deven, Dalton, Josh, Gisele, Trace, Sydney, and Dylan — and 2 great-grandchildren — Vela and Axel — the living legacy of the family she and Joe built with such love and intention.
Marcia had a gift for making people feel seen, cared for, and welcomed. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a warmth that drew people close, and a way of always finding the good — in people, in moments, in life. Her home was her sanctuary, and she filled it with love, comfort, and a presence that her family will feel for the rest of their lives.
She loved to travel — visiting nearly every U.S. state and countries across the world — yet no matter how far she roamed, home was always where her heart lived. She had a fondness for beautiful things, especially calla lilies and lilies of the valley, and a deep love for the animals who shared her life and home over the years.
For her sons, her passing marks the end of something very special and very rare — the kind of family, and the kind of parents, that most people only dream of. She and Joe gave them that. Every single day.
In her final years, Marcia was surrounded by three remarkable women who came into her life as caregivers and stayed as family. Ollie Nawaqatabu made the Henry home her own for nearly four years — present every single day, through every moment, every season, every need. She was not just by Marcia's side, she was woven into the fabric of the family itself. Her dedication, her love, and her presence were extraordinary in every sense of the word. To Marcia's sons, Ollie is not a caregiver — she is a sister, pure and simple, and she will forever be part of this family. Muzariatu Rahim came every weekend with genuine warmth and care, and Sharon Milton was always there when called upon — both women giving their time and love with sincerity and heart. Together, the three of them gave Marcia something precious in her final chapter — comfort, companionship, and the knowledge that she was loved and never alone. The Henry family is forever grateful to each of them.
In her final moments, Marcia was surrounded by the love she had so freely given throughout her life — and she left this world the same way she lived in it: peacefully, gracefully, and held close by family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marcel Augustine "Joe" Henry, and her parents, Orion John Frazee and Della Marie Stafford Frazee — the people who loved her first and shaped everything she became.
She will be laid to rest beside her beloved Joe — a reunion long written in the stars, and a love story now made whole again.
Marcia's memory will live on in the lives she shaped, the love she gave without condition, and the family she was proud to call her greatest joy.
