Lynn Michelle Blair's Obituary
Claralyn "Lynn" Michelle Blair, age 57, of Pasadena, Maryland, passed away February 11, 2023 in Annapolis, Maryland after a short battle with lung cancer. She was born in Silver Springs, Maryland to John McElwain Jr. and Sharon (Wolfe) Donlin on December 14, 1965. She grew up in Crownsville, Maryland and attended Old Mill High School.
For most of her career she was a school bus driver. She took a break and worked as a residential recycling hauler for Browning-Ferris Industries, Inc. and then started an in-home day care where she cared for many children over the years. Later she found her way back to driving children to school, most recently at Lanes Bus Service.
She was selfless and loving person who touched many hearts. Most of her life she was deeply involved with the Annapolis Moose Lodge #296, where she served through many chairs, including Senior Regent and earning her Star Recorder degree. She loved music and dancing and was a member of the Harbor Lights Squares. Her family and friends will remember her as a funny, caring, and giving person who never slowed down.
She is survived by her husband Steven Blair of Pasadena, Maryland; her daughter Michelle Bura (Aaron) of Peachtree City, Georgia; her granddaughter Ella Bura of Peachtree City, Georgia; her parents John McElwain Jr. (Wilma Jean) of Crownsville, Maryland; Sharon Donlin (Bill) of Fredrica, Delaware; brother Timothy McElwain Sr. of Davidsonville, Maryland; sister Dara Donophan (Walt) of Laurel, Delaware; stepsister Lisa Hamrick of Jacksonville, North Carolina, six nieces, four nephews, seventeen great nieces/nephews and one great-great nephew.
Family and friends are welcome to attend her viewing and funeral service at Lasting Tributes located at 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 on February 18, 2023 from 2pm – 4pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Annapolis Moose Lodge #296 located at 1890 Crownsville Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 immediately after.
In lieu of flowers please consider bringing a new
teddy bear* which will be donated to Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Pediatric Unit or by making a memorial donation in honor of Lynn to Mooseheart.
*In order for the hospital to accept these stuffed animals, they must be new, clean, and preferably still have a tag on them.
