Lucita R. Guzman's Obituary
Lucita Guzman, 82, peacefully entered God’s heavenly kingdom on October 26, 2015, with her husband Carlos and three daughters beside her. Her devotion to her family and faith in God supported her strength in her health struggles which ultimately gave Lucita peace.
Lucita was born to the late Andres and Genoveva Rilveria in Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines on June 4, 1933. She attended the Philippines Women’s University and studied Education. Lucita was blessed with a loving and still growing family. She married her best friend, Carlos Guzman on November 17, 1956 in Manila, Philippines. They raised three daughters, who all completed their education, married, and have children. In 1992, Lucita and Carlos immigrated to Annapolis, Md.
Lucita was a devoted housewife who loved taking care of her home and family. She was known for her traditional Filipino cooking and she enjoyed gardening, reading, watching her favorite Filipino variety shows, and babysitting for her grandchildren and great-granddaughter, Adele.
Lucita is survived by her husband of 58 years, Carlos; Three daughters, Marilou, Daisylou, and Carilou; her grandchildren, Brian, Carlo, Ria, Ryan, Brandon, James Jr., Jazmine, and Janine; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Adele.
