Any day I met up with Lou and Digger at Kinder Farm Park was a good day. For many years I had the pleasure of seeing him in the park, and we would talk for a good while. He enjoyed seeing my garden, and he generously gave me some of his famous fig plants and patiently shared instructions for care. Lou was a kind, loving, generous, wise man. I have a hole in my heart, knowing I will no longer see him at the park, but his presence will always be there - and with me; I will miss him deeply. Sending my sincere condolences to his wife, Jeannie, whom he often spoke of, as well as to his entire family. He loved you dearly and was very proud of you.

Lou was a great mentor, and always a welcoming presence at woodturner gatherings. He was a man of tremendous resilience, dedication, and love for family and friends. And, of course, a great craftsman in his own right.
He will greatly missed.

Lou was the nicest man to work with in Recreation and Parks. He never lost his gentle ways even when Jack A. was harassing him and that was a frequent occurrence. I will miss seeing him out and about but I have several of his wooden bowls that I treasure and will think of him every time I look at them. My thoughts are with Jeanne and the family.
You will be missed!! I will always cherish the woodworking art that you created and that I am lucky enough to have! Adam S.
