My prayers are with you, Dave, and your entire family. I met Lori when she came to DBED, and we worked together for years. I have wonderful memories of her while all of us worked together on the Charity Campaign annually. Martha Ellison
I only knew Lori for a brief period of time as colleagues at Department of Commerce. In that short time, she made quite the impression on me. I not only admired her as a professional, but as a friend and support. After suddenly loosing my own parents, Lori was one of the first to reach out, offering kindness at a low point in my life. I can only hope to return that favor of kindness to her family.
There are no words to adequately express the profound sadness at news of Lori's death. She and sister, Trish, were childhood friends to my sister and I.
When we bumped into each other years ago in line at a store, it was like we were transported to our youth. She was as warm and kind as I'd always remembered her.
A couple years ago we spent an evening together making meal bags for a homeless outreach. It was so fun to catch up on all the happenings of decades past. She talked of her loving family with so much joy and happiness. Olivia brought a special sparkle to her life, and I loved hearing about her camping and crocheting adventures.
Lori showed up for people - physically, emotionally, professionally.
The world is a little dimmer with her passing.
Much love to her husband, family, and closest friends and colleagues.

Lori Ratzburg embodied an incredibly positive spirit. Lori's smile was contagious. Lori's commitment to mentoring others was inspirational. Lori's love for her family was heartwarming and special.
I've known Lori for many years and was privileged to recently work closer with her through the MEDA (Maryland Economic Development Association) where she served on the Board of Directors.
Her legacy of caring and agape love lives on in the people she touched.
My prayer is that everyone has a Lori Ratzburg in their life. ❤️
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to our colleague, friend, and cherished family member, Lori Ratzburg. While our daily interactions were limited, Lori always extended a supportive hand and offered kind words. May you rest in eternal peace, Lori. ~ Linda Spence, Washington County, MD
