Lillie Mae Smith's Obituary
Lillie Mae Smith (Lil) entered into eternal rest on November 12, 2015.
Lil was born on January 5, 1942 to the late Burnetta (James) Little and the late Thomas (Arthenia) Nick. Lil attended Anne Arundel County Public Schools furthering her education at Fleet Business Schools. Upon completion of Fleet she began her career in 1968 at Westinghouse, now known as Northrup Grumman, from which she retired in April 2000.
On November 11, 1957 she married the love of her life, Lyle R. Smith, Sr.; out of that union they had three sons.
Lil enjoyed playing solitaire, watching The Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right, and Law and Order.
Lil leaves to cherish her memories of her husband of 58 years, Lyle R. Smith, Sr.; son, Todd Smith (Kathy); sister, Peggy Pergerson; grandchildren: Michael V. Ross (Tranise), Nakeya Smith-Johnson (Derek), Lyle Smith III (Demetra), Keon Smith (Mia), Courtney Smith and Morgan Smith; great-grandchildren: Derek Jr., Lyla, Christopher, Melanie, Lyle IV, Liam, and Nasser; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Smith; sister-in-law, Brenda Smith; aunt, Alverta Johnson, a host of nieces and nephews and godson, Marco Green. Devoted cousins, Bobby and JoAnn Cromwell; devoted friends, Viola Cuffie, Evelyn Watson, Denise Burns, Frank Bradford and Andrea Bailey; along with a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Lyle Smith, Jr. and Kyle Smith; brother, John Nick; niece, Torsha Pergerson; father and mother-in-law, Edward and Louise Smith; and godsister, Portia Booth.
