Lillian Alberta Baldwin's Obituary
Lillian Alberta Baldwin (Lill) was born March 24, 1942 to the late Isiah (Ike) and Madeline Rowling Abrims. She was called home to spread her wings on May 11, 2021.
Lillian (Lill) attended Davidsonville Public School in Anne Arundel County and graduated from Anne Arundel School System in 1961. She worked for Anne Arundel Medical Center as housekeeping staff for many years. Lillian (Lill) also worked for the Department of Aging as a caregiver for many years until she became ill.
Lillian (Lill) was the wife of the late James Edward Baldwin for 23 years until she spread her wings and went home.
Lillian (Lill) enjoyed life. She loved listening to her gospel music, going to the casino, playing scratch off tickets, and gathering with family and friends. Some of Lill’s favorite things were cookouts, going to Sandy Point Beach, Jones’ Green Beach and going crabbing at St. John College.
Lillian (Lill) helped raise her grandkids, Yanne and Jayron. She also helped with great-granddaughter Kayonna, and other children as well. Lillian (Lill) loved everybody.
Lillian was preceded in death by late husband, James Baldwin (Jimmy); her father, Isiah (Ike) Abrims, mother, Madeline Abrims; her brother, Richard Abrims, Sr.; five sisters: Rachel Franklin, Alice Abrims, Gertrude Abrims, Edith Downs, Bernadine Hopkins; daughter, Janice Ann Pulley (as Sugar); son, Pedro Stansbury; Granddaughter, Ashley Dean; two nieces: Betty Hopkins, Lillian Johnson Jones; great niece, Shamika Williams; two brothers-in-law: James Hopkins (Junebug as Hop), Howard Diggs, Jr.; two sisters-in-law: Mildred Cook, Brenda Diggs; and son-in-law, Leonard Johnson (Lenny).
Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Doris Powell; her children, sons: John Gilmer (Sandra) of Glen Burnie, Perry Stansbury (Teresa) of Texas, Raymond (as BooBoo) of Baltimore; daughters: Donna Diggs (Louis Sr.) of North Carolina, Lillian Stansbury (as Mumu) of Baltimore; Brother-in-law Howard Parker (as Bab) of Annapolis; Step-daughter, Rachel Baldwin of Texas, Sheila Colbert of Annapolis; nieces: Rachel Holland (as Babsis), Faye Eldridge, Susie Moulden Hopkins, Dorie Powell (as Stinka), Shirley Green, Tia Holland- The one and only (Clyde Hill, Jr.); devoted friends: Agnes Siscoe (Peggy), Mr. Dorsey, Dora Brown (Penn) as daughter, Miss Ann, Kim Blair, Miss Lilly, Miss Manme, Miss Shirley, Her caregiver- LaTanya Holland (Pumpkins), Miss Humphrey, Brenda Smith (as Dutchie), Derrick Brown, Mr. Roland Brown, Wendy Byrd, Rickey Byrd, Sandra (as PooPoo); and a host of family and friends.
