Lawrence Keegan's Obituary
Lawrence “Larry” Keegan, 91, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2020 at his home in Owings, Maryland, where he was surrounded by family.
Larry was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Keegan, one daughter, Kathy Wells, and 13 siblings.
Larry is survived by his children, Bryan Keegan of Owings, MD, Mark (Carol) Wells of Edgewater, MD, Lynn Ebel of Edgewater, MD and Laurie Guild of Edgewater, MD: 16 grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one sibling.
Larry Keegan, who retired after 20 years with National Wild Life Federation, was born Sept. 19, 1929, in Sutersville, Pennsylvania. He had spent the past nine years living in the care of his son Bryan Keegan and granddaughter Brianna Keegan.
Mr. Keegan was a Korean War veteran who retired from the Air Force a Senior Master Sergeant.
Those who knew Larry Keegan knew him as a loving father and devoted family man. No one will forget the warm, infectious smile with which he greeted the world. His love for life was reflected in his passion for sports and fitness. In addition to being an avid volleyball player, he once pitched a no-hitter in a softball game, and was both a little league coach and baseball umpire.
