Kelli Jean Moran's Obituary
Kelli Jean Moran was born on March 25, 1962 and grew up in College Park, Maryland. She was married at a young age and was a mother of three children. She was a graduate of Parkdale High School. Kelli worked for many years at Washington Music Center, then later put herself through school to become a certified massage therapist. She worked in spas throughout the Maryland/DC area. She was a natural healer and a popular, highly requested massage therapist.
Kelli began her battle with cancer in 2011. Throughout her battle she remained strong, positive, and courageous, never letting it get her down until the very end. Kelli was a fun-loving, kind, and gentle person. She loved her family and friends and being surrounded by those who loved her. Kelli was a wonderful cook and loved to bake, and she was also a professional seamstress. She loved nature, the environment, the sun, sand, and ocean. She loved laughter, music, gatherings with friends, and she loved to dance.
Kelli resided for the last few years of her life near the ocean in Delaware. She is survived by her mother, Barbara J. Stepanian of Melbourne, FL; her father Harold G. Moran of College Park, MD; her sister Kristina E. Moran of Burtonsville, MD; her three children Michelle VanHorn of Philadelphia, PA, Wendi VanHorn of Brooklyn, NY, John VanHorn III of Denver, CO, and her two grandchildren Summer and Brazen.
Kelli passed away peacefully on March 30th, 2019 with her family by her side. She is no longer suffering anymore and is now with God in heaven. Kelli was laid to rest at Bestgate Memorial Park in Annapolis, Maryland on April 2, 2019.
The Memorial Service and Celebration of Life for Kelli Moran will be on Saturday, April 13th from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm at
The Pearl Spa located at 8171 Maple Lawn Blvd., Fulton, MD. The service will be held in their event room. Casual attire is fine.
