Kathryn Mary Weber's Obituary
Kathryn Mary Weber, 72, of Annapolis, MD crossed her final finish line after a brief illness, surrounded by family and friends.
Born and raised in Toms River, NJ she was the eldest child of F. Peter Weber and Alicemay Weber-Wright. A graduate of Washington College and University of Maryland, Kathy was a well-regarded CPA in Annapolis, specializing in helping small businesses grow and thrive. Her greatest passion was sailing and she spent many years racing small boats and auxiliaries in Barnegat Bay, where she grew up, and in the Chesapeake Bay around Annapolis, where she resided since 1977. She raced and cruised all along the eastern seaboard, Key West, and international locations including the Caribbean, The Bahamas, South America, and Bermuda. She was an early member of Eastport Yacht Club and was a driving force in its growth. Kathy was also a big college sports fan and regaled friends and family with her sports knowledge and enthusiasm.
She was predeceased by her father, F. Peter Weber. She is survived by her mother, Alicemay Weber-Wright, her siblings Carol DeMoranville (Bill), Richard Weber (Pam), Jon Weber (Regina) and Beth DeCenzo, her beloved niece and nephew Stacey Dalton (Tom) and Rick Weber (Jamie), and her five cherished grand nephews and nieces, Andrew, Amaya, Austin, Riley, and Emerson. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Deborah Martin Weber and her best pal Valerie Thackray, who cared for her during her illness. KW will be sorely missed by her family and friends, and the crew at Eastport Yacht Club.
A private celebration of her life will be held at Eastport Yacht Club and in Toms River, dates to be announced.
