Karl Garcia Butler Sr.'s Obituary
Karl Garcia Butler, Sr. was born to James and Shirley (Donnell) Butler on Friday, December 23, 1955 and called into his eternal rest on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Karl was educated in Anne Arundel County School System where he received many awards for his Artistic Abilities to Draw and Paint. He served in the United State Army; worked as a carpenter, and was indeed a jack of all trades. He spearheaded a Men’s fellowship titled, “Iron Sharpens Iron.” He completed and received over a dozen Certifications in Biblical Studies, and in 2023-24 received his Ministerial License. His, Scripture of Purpose, PROVERBS 27:17, “IRON SHARPENETH IRON; SO, A MAN SHARPENETH THE COUNTENANCE OF HIS FRIEND.”
Karl was preceded in death by his wife, Diana; sons Kejuan and Kelly Butler; Father, sister Angela Butler; nephews Travon Middleton, Josiah, Kevin Butler Jr.; grandparents, James and Frances (Naylor) Butler, James and Lucille (Johns) Donnell; Uncles James, Raymond, Douglas, and Aubrey Donnell; Uncle James Tasker; Uncles Charles (Ruth), Samuel (Janet), Frank (Sandra), Butler; Aunts Jeanette (Pete) Sellman, Shirley (Ralph) Green, Margaret (William) Brown, LouEllen & Doreen Donnell.
Karl leaves to mourn his son, Karl G. Butler Jr.; Grandchildren Karly, Skyla Thompson, Musa, Kejuan Jr., M’Kaijaye, Kamarion, Kyle, Kejuan; mother-Shirley; siblings Kevin (Terri), Kenneth (Maxie), Keith (Shannon), Wonda, Constance (Blake), Roxanne, and Ruth; aunts Edith Butler, Ruth Curtis, Tremaine & Viola Donnell; Uncles Louis (Mary) Butler, Michael (April) Donnell; “COMMITTED FRIENDS Marshall Hall, Rita Perkins,” and a host of other family and friends.
