Judith Underwood's Obituary
Judith MacMurray “Judy” Underwood died on October 7, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was 69 years old.
Judy was born on April 27, 1943 in Baltimore, MD to Ralph and Willette MacMurray. She grew on the Severn River in Round Bay and was a member of the first graduating class of Severna Park Senior High School. She attended the University of Maryland, College Park where she met her husband of nearly 50 years, John. They raised their family in West Severna Park and she worked for many years in the banking industry. She loved beach vacations with her family to Middlesex Beach in Delaware and the Outer Banks and was happy to be known as a “Pool Lady” at Severn River Swim Club. In recent years, she enjoyed wintering in The Villages in Florida with John. Most of all, she loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, John, of Severna Park; 2 daughters, Stacey Barrow and her husband, Michael, of Grasonville and Courtnay Jones and her husband, Greg, of Severna Park; a sister, Lynn Ryer of Ridgefield, CT; 5 grandchildren, Jack and Kalyn Barrow and Amanda, Drew, and Kelly Jones; and her beloved Bichon, Ducie.
She was predeceased by a brother, Ralph “Mac” MacMurray III.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, October 9 from 5 to 7pm at Lasting Tributes, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis ending with a service at 7pm. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Operation Shoebox, P.O. Box 1465, Belleview, FL 34420.
