Joyce was born in Emory, Virginia on June 30, 1932, the daughter of William and Myrtle Glass. Joyce grew up in Meadowview, Virginia where she met her husband Charles H. Forrester. She left Virginia to follow her husband who was in the Army. They lived all over the United States, Germany and Panama. She always loved entertaining in her "little house" and made sure everyone had a hot cooked meal and always felt at home. Joyce was a woman of faith, who loved the outdoors and gardening. While at Autumn Lake she had many friends and liked to help with their needs as well. She will be remembered through the love, kindness, and memories she left us with.
