Joseph Daniel Jankowski, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Joseph Jankowski Sr., 83, of Annapolis, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 07, 2020, at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief and courageous battle with Covid. He was the loving husband of the previously deceased Rose M. Jankowski, his wife of 55 years.
Born on February 21, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Genevieve Jankowski Sr. He was a Korean War Veteran while serving in the U.S. Navy. He also served as Cub Scout Pack leader for several years. He was an Air Traffic Controller at the Washington Air Route Traffic Control Center located in Leesburg Virginia. After his retirement he also served as an ATC Instructor at the FAA training academy in Oklahoma City. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers. Surviving is a son, Joseph D. Jankowski, Jr. and wife Kim of Annapolis, MD; grandsons Brian Joseph Jankowski and Kevin Alan Jankowski. He was a loving and devoted grandfather to Brian and Kevin, attending all their activities and games throughout the years.
