Jonathan David Rober's Obituary
Jonathan Rober, 47, passed away on February 21, 2025, in Annapolis, Maryland. Born on February 8, 1978, in Washington, D.C., Jonathan lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and an unwavering commitment to those around him.
Jonathan proudly served in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Electronics Technician for ten years. His service included time aboard the USS Newport News during the opening days of the Iraq/Gulf war. He spent his final three years of active duty stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. His contributions to the Navy and his expertise were highly respected by his shipmate and those who served alongside him.
Above all else, Jonathan was a devoted parent to his children, Kylan, Caleb, and Elliana Rober along with his former wife, Shaina. He was also a loving son to Edward and Donna Rober and a cherished brother to Jeffrey Rober and his wife Samantha. His nephews Ethan and Nathan held a special place in his heart. Jonathan’s kindness and willingness to help others made him a beloved friend to many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 1, 2025, at Herald Harbor Community Center, located at 390 Hall Rd., Crownsville, Maryland. The informal open house will take place from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The family invites attendees to share memories and photos of Jonathan either via email sent to [email protected]; bring a written memory with them; or write one at the event. These will be compiled into a memory book for his children.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gigi's Playhouse Annapolis or the Down Syndrome Association of Maryland in Jonathan’s honor.
Jonathan’s legacy of love, service, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves a gaping hole in many hearts but lives on in his children and all those whose lives he touched.
