John Joseph Paletta's Obituary
John Joseph Paletta, son of Tullio John and Adelina Paletta, was born in New York City on May 23, 1940. He was the younger brother to Margaret Cicchetti (Nick), Justin Paletta (Louise), and Patricia O’Reilly (Patrick). He graduated from Regis High School and Fordham University. In his youth John sang in school and church choi and traveled extensively with family. Following a term of service in the U. S. Army, John settled into a career with the U. S. Census Bureau. He worked as a statistician there for 35 years in the Demographic Statistical Methods Division. While employed he was an active participant in the Census Bureau Welfare and Recreation Association, playing softball, bowling and golf. Upon retirement, he continued his love of golf as a member of the Maryland Inter-Club Senior Golf Association (MISGA). He was an avid reader and shared his love for travel with his companion, Fay Nash. He will be remembered for his wide range of interests, wry sense of humor and his persistent effort to play a great game of golf.
