John considered his greatest accomplishment in life to be the blessing of his three daughters, Sarah (affectionately known as “Stareda”), April (“Sweetums”), and Rachel (“Ziffer”). He took immense pride in supporting them at every stage of their lives, whether coaching from the sidelines, attending school plays, or sharing special family moments at home. His joy deepened with the arrival of his grandchildren. Reagan, Logan, Macklin, Dawson, Kayce, and Maverick who affectionately called him “Grandpa the Grey” and eagerly awaited Hot Wheel cars at every visit, bringing endless laughter and happiness to his later years.

He cherished nothing more than spending time with his family. Whether in Maryland, Virginia, or Florida and enjoyed traveling together on family cruises and vacations. He also had a lifelong love of movies and could often be found enjoying a good film.
