John Casper Kruesi, Jr.'s Obituary
John Casper Kruesi, Jr, 53, of Annapolis, MD passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Monday, October 11, 2021 after a fierce battle with brain cancer.
Born in Staten Island, NY to John and Karen Kruesi on October 5, 1968, John grew up in a loving, lively, and faith-filled home with his three siblings. Spending early years living close to his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins instilled in John his desire to spend every free moment with those he loves.
A graduate of Villanova University and George Mason University School of Law, John was Senior Counsel for 27 years at Counsel Press.
John will be remembered for his selflessness, humility, intelligence, strength, kindness, dry sense of humor, and above all else, love of family. John’s greatest joy in life was his wife Kari and their two smart, strong, and beautiful daughters, Katie and Julia. A devoted father, John could often be seen attending his girls’ sporting events, their back-to-school nights, father/daughter dances, boating on the Severn, or at simply playing games. Cruising, attending shows in NYC, and vacationing at the beach were among John’s favorite pastimes.
John is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kari Kruesi, their daughters, Katie and Julia of Annapolis; his parents, John and Karen of Middletown, DE; his siblings, Kate Kruesi of Middletown, DE; Michael Kruesi of Middletown, DE; and Thomas (Diane) Kruesi of Chesapeake, VA and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, dear friends, and his loyal canine companion, Max.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Lasting Tributes, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis MD 21401 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Road, Annapolis MD at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Fields in Millersville, MD.
