John "Jay" Patrick Dempsey's Obituary
John “Jay” P. Dempsey (55) passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Crofton, MD, March 14, 2015. The cause of death was natural causes. He made a valiant battle with his diabetes and heart conditions.
Born December 12, 1959 in Washington DC, he grew up in New Carrollton before settling in Crofton, MD. He worked at UPS as a tractor trailer mechanic and was also show steward for Local 1486 Machinist Union.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Dempsey (Charleston, SC); sister, Debra Dempsey; Aunt, Evelyn Johnson; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John N. Dempsey and Ruthe Ingalls Dempsey.
A Remembrance Tribute will be held between the hours of 2 PM and 4 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Lasting Tributes Cremation & Funeral Care 814 Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD, where a time of shared memories will be held at 3 pm.
