You could not know Joanne and not realize what an amazing person she was. As my older Cousin, I first knew Joanne when I was a child, and saw her as "just" a Mom, who was very nice. When I grew up, however, and realized that Jo had raised SIX children while I was struggling to raise one, my liking sky-rocketed to awe. Further, When Jo took me under her wing for several months while I was going through a painful divorce, I discovered the depths of her generosity, as well as her impressive talents in Music. Jo directed her own choir and played both the piano and organ. She also worked as a substitute Teacher from time to time. Talk about a role model for a Mom who worked very hard yet held on to her creativity and talents!
I shall always remember Joanne with love, admiration, and as a great role model.
