JoAnn Wentz Sinclair's Obituary
JoAnn Wentz Sinclair passed away on March 1, 2017. She was 74.
JoAnn was born in East Chicago, IN on December 19, 1942 to the late Charles and Marcella (Thiel) Wentz. She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, receiving her bachelor's degree. She started her career in teaching in Baltimore. Later receiving her master's degree at George Washington University. The majority of her career was spent with the Prince George’s County School System, from which she retired.
JoAnn was an avid reader, shopper, beach goer and cat lover. She enjoyed time with her family, especially with her beloved grandchildren. She was devoted to her church community at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, serving as Eucharist Minister and volunteer at the food pantry.
JoAnn is survived by her loving husband Ron Sinclair of Riva, MD; son, John Boyle, Jr. (Denise) of Grasonville, MD; daughter, Jennifer Flounlacker (Mark) of Ocean Pines, MD; and four grandchildren, LeighAnne, Joseph, Kelley and Mallory.
A gathering will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 515 Loch Haven Rd, Edgewater, MD from 10am to 11am with a Funeral Mass at 11am. A reception is to follow mass with burial at 4 pm at St. Peters Cemetery in Queenstown, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Food Pantry, 515 Loch Haven Road, Edgewater, MD 21037.
