Joan had a rare gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and loved. Along with Buzz, she was an outgoing and gracious host whose home and heart always seemed to be open to friends. I remember how carefully she organized her kitchen for Rotary dinner club gatherings, ensuring that everything flowed smoothly as friends gathered their meals. To Joan, these dinners were about much more than food—they were opportunities to enjoy the company of friends and to share her genuine love and hospitality. Her kindness, warmth, and gracious spirit left a lasting impression on me. I will miss her very much.
