Joan Catherine Dodge Stillinger passed away peacefully on May 23rd, 2026, at the age of 84. She was at home in Riva, Maryland, surrounded by the love of her four children, and has now been reunited with her husband, Arthur “Buzz” Read Obituary
My condolences to Joan’s family. Joan was my late husband’s Hospice Nurse. She was wonderful to both of us, and she made one of life’s most difficult journeys a whole lot easier! Of course, it was especially nice that we were all members of CUMC. Joan was an amazing woman and her memory will always be a blessing.

I worked with Joan at Hospice of the Chesapeake for 12 years and will always remember her for being kind, helpful and funny. I also remember how elegant she looked with her pretty hair back in a headband and her clothes always perfect. I'm sorry to hear this news, but am certain she and her husband are dancing in Heaven.
