Jesse Burnett Robinson's Obituary
After a life well lived, Jesse B. Robinson, affectionately known as “JR,” passed away peacefully at home on the evening of February 22, 2026. Our Heavenly Father gently guided him home to eternal rest.
Jesse was born on May 31, 1953, in Edgewater, Maryland, to Jesse and Catherine Robinson. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and remained steadfast in his faith throughout his life. He was a devoted member of Chews United Methodist Church in Harwood, Maryland, where he faithfully served on the Trustee Board.
He was educated in the Anne Arundel County Public School System and graduated with the Class of 1971 from Southern Senior High School in Harwood, Maryland.
Following graduation, Jesse embraced his entrepreneurial spirit by founding JBR Trucking Company. He later dedicated over 20 years of service to Anne Arundel County Public Works. Returning to his passion for trucking, he worked for Sunny Acres and later American Turf, from which he retired in 2021.
Outside of his professional life, Jesse found joy in race cars, traveling, watching westerns, and most of all, entertaining family and friends at poolside. He cherished laughter, fellowship, and creating lasting memories with those he loved.
Jesse is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 28 years, Rhonda Allen Robinson; his sister, Alice Tongue (Robert); his daughter, Nicole Moore (Raeford); his grandchildren, Raven Henson, Garrett Contee, Jr., and Courtney Moore; his great-grandchildren, Khaza Johnson, Kingdom Johnson, and Nalay Johnson; his niece, Yolanda Wilkins (Roy); his great-niece, Diamond Battle; his sister-in-law, Umika Badon (Todd); along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
