Jean Marie Santucci's Obituary
Jean Marie Santucci (Schenk), affectionately known as Gammy or Jeanie, peacefully passed away at the age of 74 in Pasadena on December 18, 2023, surrounded by her family during a brief illness.
Born on September 6, 1949, in Loretto, PA, to the late Francis and Barbara Schenk, Jean was married to John (Jack) Santucci for over 40 years before their paths diverged. Together, they raised four children. A dedicated realtor for many years, Jean found immense joy in her profession. Her fondness for the color red, admiration for Ronnie Dove and Mark Harmon, and her tradition of having an Orioles game on during baseball season were just a few facets of her vibrant personality. Jean also had a passion for reading, showcasing an impressive collection of books, including every novel written by Danielle Steel.
Above all, Jean cherished her family. A loving mother to Allyson Santucci, Erin (Andrew) Corn, Vincent (Magan) Santucci, and Ira (Mesha) Santucci, she was also a beloved grandmother to Emily Muller (Garrett Porter), Abby Muller (William Sullivan), Ava Corn, and Lily Byrd. Additionally, she embraced bonus sons Scott (Megan) Preston, Charles Muller, and Matt (Beth) Vorsteg.
Known for being the mother every friend wanted to be around, Jean's home was the gathering place. Her love for entertaining, passion for plants, and reputation as an exceptional cook added warmth to every occasion. Jean's absence will be deeply felt, but her legacy of love and joy will endure.
In accordance with her wishes, no public services will be held, honoring the private nature that defined Jean's final wishes. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
