Jane Simpson McLaughlin's Obituary
Jane Simpson McLaughlin passed away on March 24, 2021 in the operating room at Anne Arundel Medical Center from heart failure.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Ann C. and Harold Simpson. Jane was born in Philadelphia in 1929 and graduated from Mt. St. Agnes in 1947. She later attended Mercy School of Nursing where she received her RN in 1950 and became a member of the Mercy Alumni.
After working as a nurse for many years, she opened up the Hickory Farms Cheese Store in the Parole Shopping center from 1963 to 1989 when she retired. Jane was preceded recently in death by her daughter, Suzanne Hallie McLaughlin.
She is survived by her son, Steven Laird McLaughlin, of Annapolis. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Foundation Fighting Blindness by visiting www.fightingblindness.org.
