James Franklin Wells' Obituary
James Franklin Wells affectionately known as “Loannie” passed away on July 26, 2016 at Baltimore Washington Hospital after a brief illness. James Wells was born February 25, 1951 in Louisa County, Virginia. James would later move to Annapolis, MD where he lived for the past 46 years. He spent many years working for Annapolis Recreation and Parks.
James is preceded in death by his parents Emma Lee Wells and Joseph Wells; and a brother Prescott Wells. Surviving are five sisters; Petrene Willis, Vernelle Morris, Lillie Richardson (Scott), Joyce Kemp and Emma Jean Wells. Survived also by three brothers; Henry Lee Wells (Patricia), David Wells and Stanley Wells (Linda). Along with his siblings James leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Kenneth Eldridge a devoted friend spent lots of days making memories with “Loannie”.
James enjoyed playing chess and cards, and was pretty good at it. He continued his passion for the two while staying in his last residence House of Loving Care 2 Assisted Living in Glen Burnie Md.
The family will have visitation on Monday August 1, 2016 at Lasting Tributes Cremation & Funeral Care at 814 Bestgate Rd. Annapolis Md. starting at 9:00 am. A funeral service will start at 10:00 am with no public viewing.
