James Albert Wallace Jr.'s Obituary
James “Jamie” Albert Wallace, Jr., of Severna Park, Maryland was one of four children. Born to the late Cora Helena Wright and the late James Albert Wallace, Sr., James departed this life on December 12, 2015 at his home at the age of 60.
He was the husband of Karen Wallace and a devoted father to Danielle Wallace and Rodney Wallace.
James graduated from Severna Park High School 1973. On June 14, 1975, James married Karen, his high school sweetheart, and the two celebrated 40 years of marriage. James began working with the United States Postal Service in 1979 and served as a dedicated employee for 36 years, first as a Carrier and later as a Supervisor until his retirement in 2015.
Everyone who knew James knew how much he enjoyed spending time outside in his yard, cutting his grass, leisurely drives in his Porsche, and washing the family cars.
James dedicated himself to loving the Lord. In 2010, he became a member of Chesapeake Christian Fellowship, where served as a greeter and participated in “Serve Annapolis,” a community outreach effort that provided food for people in need. In 2014, James began attending Lighthouse Church with Karen, where he also served as a greeter. Thanksgiving was James’ favorite holiday, as long as all of his food was served piping hot. He also loved watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, watching westerns in his favorite chair, vacations with his wife, spending time with his granddaughter, and card games with his buddies on the weekends.
James leaves behind to cherish his memories: wife, Karen Wallace; son, Rodney Wallace; daughter, Danielle Wallace; sister, Yvonne Melton; 2 brothers, Vincent Wallace and Terrance Coates (Angela); granddaughter, Amani Wallace, and a host of other family and friends.
