James Wayne Singleton was born in
Baltimore, MD on July 5, 1968. He graduated from Glen Burnie High school & resided in Pasadena, MD. Jim passed away unexpectedly on
April 21, 2017. He was the devoted husband to Laura (of 23 years) and
loving father to daughter Jamie and son Jimmy. His wife and children
were his life, pride and joy.
Jim was employed by the Federal Government. He was very proud of his job and enjoyed going to work everyday. He was a hard working man who took pride in taking care of and providing for his family. His previous job as a Sheet Metal Specialist was his fun job because he enjoyed building and creating things in his spare time. Jim was always known as the family handy man and could make or fix anything, so he always had projects lined up (mostly for his wife or mother in law).
Jim enjoyed spending all his free time with his family. He especially enjoyed travelling to Disney World (the Happiest Place on Earth), a special trip planned regularly by his Disney Addict wife! He also enjoyed going to Universal Studios in Florida for the first time where he got to visit the Harry Potter World, which was an amazing experience for the entire family. Another favorite vacation spot was Las Vegas. Jim enjoyed Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville and Toby Keiths
bar & grill. He also enjoyed seeing the Lion King live with his wife and children at the Mandalay Bay and going to Caesars Palace with his wife to see Celine Dion in concert, which was an amazing evening and unforgettable experience for both of them.
Jim also enjoyed regular family trips to Hershey Park, Yogi Bear Campground, Bengies drive-in movies and the Farmer's Market. And where ever they went he & his children would
always find the game room and play video games, which they all enjoyed and loved to do.
Jim also loved to fish and would spend many weekends on a boat, pier, or pond. He also took both of his children out and taught them both how to fish while spending special time with them.
Jim also enjoyed go-kart racing and took both his children out regularly to race. His son Jimmy is now a Speed Racer, his daughter Jamie not so much, haha!
In addition to being a loving husband and father, Jim was also a loving son-in-law, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and nephew. Jim always had a big smile on his face, and a heart of gold, and will truly be missed by all of his family and friends.
Celebration of Life/Service will be held on Saturday, May 6th 2017, 2-5pm (2-4pm Celebration of Life followed by Service 4-5pm). Lasting Tributes, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis MD 21401.
