James D. Morgeson's Obituary
James Darrell Morgeson was born July 31, 1949 in Brady Texas. He passed away May 9, 2025 from complications of dementia in Annapolis, Maryland.
Darrell graduated from Crane High School in 1967. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1971 from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Science degree in 1981 from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He served in the U.S. Army Field Artillery from 1971 to 1984. He went on to work in New Mexico as a developer modeling simulations of large systems. He also worked in Virginia as a researcher for defense analyses. In retirement he lived in Stevensville, Maryland.
Darrell is survived by his wife Christine C. Morgeson and her sons, Christopher and Andrew; his sons Scott (wife Keri) and Taylor (wife Ann); 4 grandchildren (Chris, Ella, Ryder and Rypp); his brothers Gayle and Jimmy (wife Judy); and several nieces and nephews.
A private, family memorial service will be held at Camp San Saba, TX.
