Crystal, Shelby, Caitlyn, and family I am so sorry for the loss of Jack. My heart is with you all in this time of sadness and I love you all so much. I am praying for your peace and comfort in this time of pain.
Jack, what a life he was. I had the pleasure of befriending Crystal in kindergarten and with that meant becoming one with the Davis family. I spent many days and nights over there and grew up knowing Jack in many different lights. One, as a tough and stern dad not letting Crystal and I get away with much.. and boy did we try! Yet, another which was gentle and sweet making sure we had what we needed set up in the basement for sleepover fun. Or as teens on the nights he decided to plug his ears and let us have our fun rather than step in. Most of my memories of Jack stem from childhood and of him being a dad figure. From grilling burgers at cookouts to working hard out in the yard and on his trucks, I mean I feel like he was always outside working on something! Such a hard worker he was and you could tell that he wanted the best for his family. Other great memories are from adulthood and being able to hang out with Jack as an adult and not a child. At this stage we got the jokes from him but also the freedom to hit him back with jokes too. One great night I will cherish is when we all hung out in the living room, laughing and reminiscing over the many years in life growing up together... we even got to sit and raise our glasses with some of his homemade moonshine. My parents live nearby and I used to always walk the neighborhood on my visits home. Jack would always stop his truck and chat with me on his way out of the neighborhood. Even if years went by, he would stop and say hi, always. I will miss Jack and I will cherish the memories that I have of him as I hope all of you do. Remember his laughs, the kind moments, and the love that he gave to those he loved. Rest in peace Jack.
