Heather was one of my best friends in early elementary school. I still have so many vivid memories of adventuring in the woods around her house with the dogs (Shep?) and often getting into a little bit of trouble with our creative antics. Much love to her family— I always felt welcome at your home.

I first met Heather in first grade at St. Martin's, and she and I were part of a class limited to 21 kids so a lot of us grew up together. She used to tease me often but that was her sense of humor; I know it was not malicious. As we've all gotten older I've heard and experienced so many moments where she would always be there for people when they needed her. I could see how much she cared about her family and dogs and know she will be missed so much.
As far as I know, she is the first to pass from our little elementary school class, and it just seems surreal. As a child you don't think of or predict that. I pictured Heather as an 80 year old lady, tormenting people with reciting "The Lady of Challott" poem. I hope she knows she was appreciated by those who entered her orbit.

I didn't know Heather as much as I would have liked but she was still here for me when I needed, she was here whenever anyone needed even if it was from a hospital bed.
She knew about so many things and was always willing to explain them to others and I'm so so glad I could meet her, even from an ocean away. I didn't keep in touch likeI should have but I'll miss her. She was a good person and I loved how much she loved and was proud of her family.
David, Casey and Kaeli, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm not that good with words but both you and her deserved more time with each others and as empty as those words probably sound, I'm sorry you couldn't have it.
Heather was a truly beautiful soul. Her compassion, and caring were utterly astounding in their depths. I was lucky to have known her for the brief time I did. My deepest sympathies to her family, you are all in my thoughts and in my heart.

I have been thinking about you so much and I love how much of a keystone of my youth you were. We all grew up and tread various paths, but I'll always remember the wild child days. Holding a family together from such a young age is a thing most can't or won't (and of course in many cases shouldn't) do, and I was always impressed by that accomplishment and your love for your family and your love for animals too. So whip-smart and fun, so tall and beautiful and open, I'll always miss you, think about you and your family, and hold you right here in my heart.

I want to give my most profound condolences to David, Casey, Kaeli, and also to the puppers. My thoughts have been with you all, I wish that you had been blessed with more time with a most wonderful human.
Heather, or as we knew her best, Phree, was a force of nature on the Reddit subs and Discord servers that we knew her on. I met her just over 2 and a half years ago now, and she was immediately warm and welcoming, and full of humour and pride for her family. The regular updates about her dogs, about her childrean and her husband, it was clear about the love she had for each and every one of you all. The very fact that she shared that love with all of us (the mods she worked with) was a gift that I will always treasure.
She is special to me for a certain event where she hunted for me when I made myself very hard to find (she has my eternal love and appreciation for this), just to make me feel welcome again. The impact on me, and on many of the people online who came to know her is profound, and I am grateful for the chance to share in her care and knowledge. The legacy she has left behind to many of the places she moderated is such that I hope that we can grow it in the way she wished.
Rest in peace and love Heather. You will be missed. Thank you for making us a part of your online family.
