Heather Lynn Adams' Obituary
Heather Lynn Adams, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and environmental advocate, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving friends and family. She was born on November 13, 1970, in Camden, New Jersey, and lived a life defined by love, service, and caring for our environment — especially the Chesapeake Bay.
Heather was a devoted daughter who cared for her mother, Lynn, who preceded her in death in June 2022, and her father, Earl, who passed on November 7, 2025. Heather is survived by her two brothers — William Adams (wife Kelly Adams) and Robert Adams (wife Laura Lathan) — as well as eight nieces and nephews.
In 2025, the Chesapeake Bay Trust dedicated their outdoor gathering space to Heather in honor of her 20 years of service. Heather had been at the heart of CBT since 2005. She was a mentor and a problem solver who reminded others to think things through, see all sides, and never lose their curiosity. CBT named the space “Heather’s Hangout” to celebrate her role in always bringing people together—whether to tackle a challenge or share a laugh.
A memorial service celebrating the lives of Heather and her father Earl will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lasting Tributes Cremation & Funeral Care, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor both father and daughter, who meant so much to so many.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Heather’s honor to her favorite organization that reflects her work and passion:
