Harry W. Walker's Obituary
Harry William Walker III, 76, of Annapolis, MD, passed away on April 23, 2025. Harry, better known as “Bug,” was born on May 24, 1948, to the late Harry W. Walker Jr. and Florene Carr.
Harry was educated in the public school system of Anne Arundel County. He went to Adams Park Elementary School and was a graduate of Bates High School, the class of 1966. He went on to attend Bowie Sate College.
After college, Harry held employment at various places including the U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Postal Service. Harry also, had the honor of serving in the U.S. Army During the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970.
Bug enjoyed the Spa Road cook outs. He was an adoring sports fan, especially to the Baltimore Ravens and the NBA. He truly cherished spending time with family and friends. He loved playing cards with the fellows and was always ready to help anyone in need. Bug was a very giving person; if he had it, you got it.
Bug became a born-again Christian, where he rediscovered his love for the Lord. Reading scripture became part of his daily morning routine. Asbury United Methodist Church became like a second home to him.
What most people did not know about Bug, was his love for writing poetry. Some of his best pieces were published in Readers Digest and the local newsletter at the high rise where he lived.
He will be greatly missed. The love he expressed to us will linger in our hearts forever.
