Harry Johnson Jr.'s Obituary
Harry Johnson Jr was born June 5th, 1943 in Washington D.C. to the late Harry and Marry Johnson. Harry was affectionately known as “Brady”, “Babe brother”, and “Pop-Pop”.
He was educated in the Anne Arundel public school system. He later went on to serve in the United Sates Army, where he retired from. He also worked at the Unites States Naval Academy for a period of time.
Brady spent a lot of this time alone. He loved listening to music and watching old tv shows while enjoying a cold Pepsi. If you know, you know.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Harrison and Bertina Harried whom raised him; two sisters, Marlene Johnson and Clairece J. Wallace; one brother, Marvin Johnson; one nephew, Ronald Simms; one niece, Charmika Harris; one great-niece, Ronisha Simms; and a stepdaughter, Therressa Hughes.
He leaves to cherish an ex-wife; Alice Branch Johnson; two sisters, Michelle Warmley and Melinda Cannon; one brother, Alvin Johnson; two nieces, La’Tandria Wallace (Matthew) Sharps and Rochelle Green; four nephews, Adrian (Bridget), Derrick (Tracey), Damien McGowan (Von) and Jerelle Maclin.
He also leaves to cherish a stepdaughter, Territa Peace and a stepson, Daniel Lopez. Pop-Pop also leaves to cherish his memory Ellis (Boobie) Ellesse, Chaz Bre’onna, Darnell, and Iya. He was their Pop-Pop along with a host of great great great nieces and nephews, and a family friend, Florence Taylor.
A public viewing will be held on Monday, October 20 from 10-11 am until the beginning of his funeral service at 11 am. Military honors will immediately follow at 1 pm at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
