Harry Nelson Isaac's Obituary
Harry Nelson Isaac, 87, of Annapolis, Maryland passed away on June 26, 2023, after a difficult battle with pneumonia and associated complications.
Harry was born on March 24, 1936, to Hilda and George Isaac. He grew up in Baltimore, and graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic High School. In his teen years he met Nancy Lee Altman and they were married in 1957. In 1964 they welcomed their beloved son, Barry, to whom Harry was a generous and loving father. Hired by Liskey Aluminum in 1956, Harry was instrumental in developing the then fledgling concept of Raised Access Flooring and continued a successful career in sales for 41 years until his retirement to life on the Chesapeake with his wife Nancy. He also spent his time boating, fishing, crabbing, and, as an avid sports fan, attending countless football games and golf tournaments. Ever the corny joke teller and prankster, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was most renowned for his park-like gardens and his affinity for his geese, ducks, birds and foxes that earned him the affectionate nickname of “Dr Dolittle”. Harry is survived by his wife Nancy, son Barry and his beloved daughter-in-law Vasoula. A gathering to remember Harry will be held at the Lasting Tributes Funeral Home, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis MD 21401, on Thursday July 6 from 4pm to 6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harry’s memory to the Animal Care Shelter of Kent County (acskc.org) 10168 Worton Road, Chestertown, MD 21620. Please be sure to insert “In memorandum of Harry Isaac” in the comment section so your donation can be recognized. God Bless!
